BSc (Hons) Sports Rehabilitation

I help shift workers understand and work with their biology — not against it.

My background is in Sports Rehabilitation, with advanced study in Nutrition and hands-on recovery work. Clinically, I specialise in how the body responds to stress — physical, neurological, and metabolic — and how it rebuilds from it.

But this work didn't start in a clinic. It started on the shop floor. Late finishes. Early starts. Rotating shifts. Running on four hours of sleep and trying to train, eat well, and stay focused. Like many people in retail, hospitality, and tourism, I was trying to follow health advice designed for a life I wasn't living. And it didn't work.

Over time, I began to notice the same pattern everywhere — not just in myself, but in colleagues, friends, and family. Fatigue that never quite lifted. Weight gain that didn't respond to effort. Motivation that came and went with sleep that was never consistent.

This isn't a lack of discipline.
It's a mismatch between biology and schedule.

Why this work exists.

A clinical foundation, built around recovery

My training in Sports Rehabilitation shaped how I see the body: not just in terms of injury, but in how it absorbs stress and adapts to it. Nutrition and soft-tissue work became tools within that bigger picture — not quick fixes, but part of a coordinated recovery strategy.

A decade living the problem

Ten years working non-standard hours gave me something no textbook could: context. I understand what it's like to try and apply "perfect" routines in an environment where nothing is consistent.

When it becomes impossible to ignore

Watching people close to me — including those working long-haul and irregular schedules — experience the same decline made one thing clear: this isn't an individual issue. It's a systemic gap. Most health systems are not designed for people who don't live 9-to-5 lives.

Where physiology meets real life

That's where the shift happened. By using Heart Rate Variability (HRV) and principles of circadian biology, I began mapping recovery, stress, and performance to actual working hours — not ideal ones. Not averages. Real schedules, in real time.

Circadex Performance

Circadex exists for one reason.

To give shift workers access to the same level of biological insight and support typically reserved for professional athletes — adapted to their reality.

This isn't about coping better with difficult hours.
It's about understanding your physiology well enough to take control within them.

Your sleep, energy, recovery, and performance are not random.
They're responsive — if you know how to read and guide them.
